How it's worked out
Income tax uses the 2026 monthly brackets (10% up to ₪7,010, then 14%, 20%, 31%, 35% and 47%, plus 3% above ₪60,130). Your credit points are then taken off, at ₪242 each per month: 2.25 for every resident, ½ more for women, and for olim 1 point in the first 12 months after aliyah, 3 in months 13–30, 2 in months 31–42 and 1 in months 43–54 (aliyah from 2022; earlier olim: 3, 2 and 1 point for 18, 12 and 12 months). Pension contributions earn a 35% credit on up to 7% of salary (salary capped at ₪9,700).
National Insurance and health tax are 4.27% of salary up to ₪7,703 a month and 12.17% above it, up to ₪51,910.
This is an estimate. It doesn't include credit points for children, degrees or living in a qualifying town (add them under “Other credit points” if you know them), benefits in kind such as a car or meals, or end-of-year adjustments. Your payslip and the Tax Authority are the final word.
