Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward. Senior Site Reliability Engineer – OCI Infrastructure & Enterprise Applications What this job involves As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer on JLL’s Technical Engineering team, you will serve as a trusted technical authority for the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) platform that hosts JLL’s enterprise applications, including JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Peoplesoft, Essbase, Oracle Analytics Cloud, GoAnywhere, ReportsNow, MagicSoft, and BTAP. You will bring deep, hands-on expertise across OCI compute, storage, networking, security, identity, and database services, along with strong automation skills in Terraform and Ansible, to design, build, and operate reliable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure at global scale. Working alongside Application, Database, Security, Network, and Production Support teams, you will independently solve medium to high complexity infrastructure problems that span cloud, network, identity, and database tiers, and translate business continuity, compliance, and performance needs into clear technical reliability requirements. You will help shape how our ERP platforms evolve on OCI, including Oracle Autonomous Database and Exadata, hybrid connectivity to Azure and AWS, and the application of Oracle-native AI services, including OCI Generative AI, Generative AI Agents, Oracle Digital Assistant, and the AI capabilities of Oracle Autonomous Database, to monitoring, automation, and operational insight. You will also help build the secure foundation for AI agents that interact with enterprise applications, including hosting and securing Model Context Protocol (MCP) services on OCI, in support of JLL’s Accelerate 2030 priorities of platform excellence and outpacing through data and AI. You will lead incident response, take ownership of reliability and security improvements with limited oversight, and act as an informal coach who shares knowledge with less experienced colleagues. This role includes on-call support, primarily covering the Americas, and administrative activities performed over weekends in close collaboration with fellow OCI, database, and application administrators. The PeopleSoft environment is supported by a separate team; this role partners closely with that team on shared OCI infrastructure. What your day-to-day will look like • Design, build, and operate OCI landing zones and workloads, including compute instances and shapes, Secure Desktop, Linux and Windows operating systems, and block, file, and object storage, applying reliability engineering methodologies to every design. • Architect and maintain OCI networking, including VCNs, subnets, Dynamic Routing Gateways, FastConnect circuits, IPsec tunnels, load balancers, private endpoints, and DNS, and ensure resilient hybrid connectivity between OCI, Azure, AWS, and on-premises environments. • Own the security posture of the platform, including Fortigate firewalls, OCI WAF, Okta Access Gateway, OCI Vault keys and secrets, certificate lifecycle management, Bastion hosts, and vulnerability and compliance findings surfaced through Wiz. • Administer identity and access across OCI IAM/IDCS, Okta, and Microsoft Active Directory (both the OCI-hosted domain and JLL corporate AD), including federation, policies, compartments, groups, and dynamic groups. • Support and optimize Oracle Database, Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata, and SQL Server platforms as they relate to hosted applications, partnering with DBAs on availability, performance, patching, and recovery. • Strengthen observability using Oracle Enterprise Manager, OCI Monitoring, OCI Application Performance Monitoring, and Logging Analytics, correlating infrastructure alerts with application symptoms to reduce time to detect and resolve. • Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code with Terraform and configuration management with Ansible, driving repeatable deployments, drift detection, and reduced operational effort. • Apply Oracle Analytics Cloud, OCI Generative AI, and Oracle Digital Assistant services to monitoring, automation, and operational insight for enterprise application platforms. • Design, deploy, and operate the infrastructure for AI agent and MCP services on OCI, including container or VM hosting, OAuth and identity integration, WAF and rate limiting, private endpoints, secrets management, logging, and session handling for services that front enterprise applications. • Implement AI guardrails and security controls for agents that read from or act on ERP systems, including human-in-the-loop approval for write operations, least-privilege tool scoping, prompt injection mitigation for untrusted application data, and audit logging of agent actions. • Build and evaluate retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows using OCI Generative AI, Generative AI Agents, Oracle AI Vector Search, and Select AI in Autonomous Database, and partner with application and data teams on grounding, evaluation, and cost control. • Lead incident response through root cause analysis and long-term remediation across cloud, network, identity, database, and application tiers. • Participate in an on-call rotation, primarily covering the Americas, and partner with other OCI and application administrators to plan and support weekend maintenance windows. • Lead medium-sized reliability and migration projects with manageable risks, define and track service level objectives, and recommend best practices to improve operational processes. • Coach less experienced colleagues through troubleshooting and knowledge-sharing sessions, while upholding change management, audit and SOX compliance, and disaster recovery standards.
