Description
Sentra is the AI Data Readiness platform for enterprises deploying AI at scale. Sentra continuously discovers, classifies, and governs sensitive data across cloud, SaaS, data warehouses, and AI environments - giving security teams complete visibility into what AI systems can access, what they can expose, and where compliance violations exist. Unlike alternatives that copy data to vendor clouds or require customer-managed outpost infrastructure, Sentra provisions ephemeral scanners directly inside the customer's environment, delivering petabyte-scale classification at a fraction of the cost. Trusted by Lyft, SoFi, Munich Re, PennyMac, Glovo and others.
Sentra recently raised a $150M Series C with Capital One, joining existing investors Key1 Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Zeev Ventures, Standard Investments and Munich Re Ventures. We are in growth mode and scaling quickly across the US and Israel. This is a rare opportunity to join early, build the finance function from the ground up, and grow with it as the company scales.
We are hiring our first Director of Finance in Israel to build a finance function that is AI-native from day one. You will own accounting, month close, finance operations, audit, tax and budgeting across our US and Israeli entities. You will build processes with AI and automation at their core, so finance scales efficiently as we grow and the team spends its time on judgment and analysis rather than manual work.
You will work closely with our US-based SVP Finance across time zones, so you need to be comfortable taking a problem, figuring it out, and coming back with it solved. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to build and grow.
Responsibilities
• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual close for the US parent and Israeli subsidiary, working with our bookkeeper(s), and cut close time quarter over quarter.
• Prepare consolidated US GAAP financial statements and monthly budget-vs-actual reporting with clear variance commentary.
• Own revenue recognition (ASC 606) for our SaaS contracts, including multi-year deals, and sales commission accounting.
• Design and automate core processes end to end such as: vendor payments (AP), billing, collections (AR), expense and travel management, and procurement.
• Select, implement and own the finance tech stack (ERP, billing, spend management, payroll integrations), and build AI agents and workflows where off-the-shelf tools fall short.
• Build the annual budget with the SVP Finance and department leaders, then track performance against it throughout the year.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages for management, the board and investors.
• Support fundraising and other strategic transactions with financial data, due diligence and data room preparation.
• Lead the annual audit with EY, including Israeli statutory financial statements and consolidated US GAAP statements.
• Work with our tax advisors on US federal and state income tax, Israeli corporate tax, sales tax nexus and filings, VAT, withholding tax and R&D tax considerations.
• Manage cash across US and Israeli bank accounts, USD/ILS exposure and short-term investment of cash.
• Administer the employee equity plan: Section 102 trustee coordination, cap table records, 409A valuations and stock-based compensation expense.
