Automation Engineer - Student Position

Description We are looking for a motivated Automation Developer Student to join our team and help us scale our test automation. You will expand our existing Python-based integration test framework, covering our server-side APIs, services and databases. Working closely with QA engineers and developers, you will build reliable, comprehensive automated tests that replace manual QA checks, shorten our release cycles and directly improve product quality. What You'll Do: Develop and extend automated tests within our existing Python integration test framework Translate features, user flows and QA test plans into clear, complete and reliable automated test scenarios Write integration tests covering APIs, backend services and databases Collaborate closely with QA engineers and developers to make sure automated tests are thorough enough to replace manual testing Maintain and improve existing tests, investigate failures and help keep the test suites stable and trustworthy Use AI tools to work efficiently and keep improving how the team builds and maintains tests Requirements You'll Do It Using: Currently pursuing a B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software Engineering, with at least 3 semesters left to graduation and a GPA of 80 or above Hands-on experience with Python or a similar backend language (e.g., Java, C#, Go) Practical experience using AI tools effectively for coding Advantages: Experience with Pytest Experience with REST API testing Familiarity with Git, CI/CD or SQL You'll Excel By: Learning quickly and independently, and taking ownership of your tasks Being a true team player who enjoys working closely with QA and developers Bringing a curious, structured and proactive approach to problem solving Communicating clearly and professionally, and asking the right questions Caring about quality and thinking about the edge cases others might miss Position Intro Earnix is the first AI company purpose-built for insurance decisioning, providing the industry with the intelligence, governance, and decisioning agility to drive profitable growth, improve resilience, and operate with speed and precision in a rapidly changing risk environment.
