Job Description
ITOM Health is ServiceNow’s suite of IT Operations Management applications. These products help companies manage and monitor their IT environments, proactively ensure system availability, and handle issues and incidents before they affect the business. As customers rely more on these capabilities to keep their operations running, the user experience has to be clear, fast, and consistent across a wide set of applications and workflows.
You will be responsible for designing the user interface architecture for ITOM Health applications and defining the development standards that keep those applications coherent, maintainable, and scalable. This role sets the technical direction for how front-end components are built, shared, and extended, and works closely with engineering teams to turn that direction into working software. Increasingly, the work also involves using AI tools to accelerate design and development, and defining how the team uses them responsibly and effectively.
What you get to do in this role
• Shape the UI architecture across ITOM Health applications, including component models, shared patterns, and the boundaries between application and platform code
• Define and evolve development standards for UI engineering, covering code structure, accessibility, performance, testing, and reuse
• Partner with product owners and engineering teams to translate operational workflows (monitoring, event and incident handling, service operations) into intuitive, efficient interfaces
• Evaluate and adopt AI-assisted development tools, and establish practices that make the team more productive without compromising quality
• Design interfaces that customers can extend and customize to fit their own processes and environments
• Review designs and code, and set the bar for quality through clear guidance and hands-on contribution
• Mentor engineers and promote knowledge-sharing across the team and with adjacent ITOM and platform teams
Qualifications
• 6+ years of experience with any of the modern UI frameworks, such as Angular, React, or Vue.
• Passion for UI development
• Experience using AI tools and building AI products.
• Ability to work with cross-cultural teams
• Passion for JavaScript and the Web as a platform, reusability, and componentization
• Experience with data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design, design patterns, and performance/scale considerations
• Analytical and design skills
• Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level
