Description Kela Technologies develops next-generation battlefield intelligence and mission systems, combining hardware and software to help defense organizations make faster, smarter decisions in complex operational environments. We’re looking for a hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Advanced Munitions Group, owning mechanical design from concept to production and supporting our mission to strengthen Western defense capabilities. Responsibilities • Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components, assemblies, and mechanisms throughout the lifecycle—from concept and detailed design through prototyping, validation, and production. • Assemble, test, and troubleshoot prototypes in the lab, driving design improvements. • Collaborate with hardware, electronics, manufacturing, and systems engineering teams to balance performance, reliability, manufacturability, and cost. • Create complex CAD models and detailed production drawings using SolidWorks. • Travel to manufacturing sites and suppliers as needed to support production and validation.
